Fisher Types 1301F and 1301G High-Pressure Regulators are self-operated pressure-reducing regulators designed to handle very high inlet pressures (up to 6000 psig / 414 bar) and deliver a stable, reduced outlet pressure. These regulators are widely used where high-pressure gas needs to be stepped down for pilot supplies or for loading pressure in pilot-operated regulators. They are also suitable for general high-pressure reduction of various gases and compatible liquids.
Their robust design, accurate regulation and versatility make them suitable for heavy-duty industrial applications across oil & gas, chemical, gas distribution, process control, and more.
Two model ranges to match application requirements:
| Parameter | Value / Range |
|---|---|
| Maximum Inlet Pressure | 6000 psig / 414 bar |
| Outlet Pressure Range (1301F) | 10 – 225 psig / 0.69 – 15.5 bar |
| Outlet Pressure Range (1301G) | 200 – 500 psig / 13.8 – 34.5 bar |
| Orifice Size | 5/64 in. (≈2.0 mm) |
| End Connection Styles | 1/4″ NPT; flange options CL300, CL600, CL1500 (or PN 25 RF) |
| Valve Disk & Gasket Materials (Standard) | Nylon (PA) disk, Neoprene (CR) gaskets; temperature: –20 to 180 °F / –29 to 82 °C |
| Valve Disk & Gasket Materials (High Temp/Aggressive Media) | PTFE disk, FKM (or EPDM) gaskets; temperature up to 400 °F / 204 °C (depending on construction) |
| Approximate Weight | 8 lb / 3.6 kg |
| Flow Coefficients | Cv ≈ 0.13; Cg ≈ 5.0 (useful for sizing and relief valve calculations) |
This regulator series is well suited for scenarios such as:
Is the 1301F suitable for low-pressure downstream supply? Yes. The 1301F’s outlet range starts from as low as 10 psig, making it suitable for pilot supply or instrument supply applications.
What if my system requires higher outlet pressure (200–500 psig)? Use the 1301G version which supports outlet pressures from 200 to 500 psig.
Can it handle liquids or only gases? With proper disk and gasket materials and within specified limits, the regulator can handle water or compatible liquids, though its primary design is for gas or air.
Is maintenance difficult? No. The regulator has a spare valve disk provided and soft-seat design for reliable shutoff. Periodic inspection is recommended depending on service conditions.
Are there materials suitable for corrosive or high-temperature fluids? Yes. Configurations with PTFE disk and FKM/EPDM gaskets support higher temperatures and more aggressive media.
